I have definitely had support, but there are those who don't believe I will graduate at 16. In the end the only way to prove them wrong is show them that diploma when it comes in the mail LOL Not only should you be proving them wrong, but you have to remember that you're doing this for you. Hopefully by choice. Or maybe you had no choice and you HAD to homeschool. A quote I found recently on Pinterest is "Bloom Where You Are Planted." To me this means making the best of your situation regardless of how you got there. Keep determination in the forefront of your mind and you will always succeed :) Thank you to whoever took the time to read this :) <3
I just found your blog, and I think it's really cool that you have a place to talk about homeschooling. I'm starting 9th grade next year, and I have been home schooled all my life up to this point. My mom really wants me to go to high-school because I, like, have no friends outside of family. But I love homeschooling, and I don't really think I need school to make friends. Any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough one. It seems like your mom has already made up her mind. But if she hasn't, what if you suggest getting a part time job? I started working and I love it! You gain so many useful people skills, learn customer service, and meet great people of all ages. Or what if you take some extra curricular activities? That's another great way to meet friends. I don't want to assume anything but since you have never been to public school you may actually like it. How about trying it out for a year then making up your mind? I hope I didn't rant too much LOL Please please please let me know what you guys decide! :)
