Graduated!

Hi guys. I officially graduated on August 8, 2013! 1 year 11 months and 2 days from my first test. I am so excited to receive my diploma and to start another journey :) The only thing is I don't know what to do with my time now haha My mom said I should have no problem with that lol I still have my job at the store and I started babysitting 3 boys until they go back to school. So busy, busy, busy. I want to read books, watch movies, travel, and start college classes. I'm not saying I gave up a lot during homeschooling, but there were definitely times when I had to choose between school and free time and school won. I am looking forward to taking time off from  exams, deadlines, and grades.

Determination

I just received an email telling me they enjoyed reading my blog :) that means so much so thank you Riki! I want to briefly talk about determination. The dictionary definition I like is:

fixed purpose

I have definitely had support, but there are those who don't believe I will graduate at 16.  In the end the only way to prove them wrong is show them that diploma when it comes in the mail LOL Not only should you be proving them wrong, but you have to remember that you're doing this for you. Hopefully by choice. Or maybe you had no choice and you HAD to homeschool. A quote I found recently on Pinterest is "Bloom Where You Are Planted." To me this means making the best of your situation regardless of how you got there. Keep determination in the forefront of your mind and you will always succeed :) Thank you to whoever took the time to read this :) <3

Schedules

Schedules are so important for getting anything done, especially homeschooling. I can tend to be a little lazy sometimes :/ I just started a new system for organizing. I printed out a June 2013 calendar with boxes big enough for me to write. I put tasks that take time i.e.: my work hours, washing my hair, tests, etc. I'm also trying to save money. This is such a hard thing for me :/ I put how much I start the week at and how much I spend throughout the week. I have also started taking my lunch to work :) having little things like this written down has really helped me keep on the track to graduating :D

Sorry guys :( I back :)

Hi everyone! I would like to apologize for not keeping up with my blog. I still get responses on the first two posts I made and I want you to know it means a lot to me. For about a month or so I was seriously considering going back to public school. I was emailing the assistant principal of my local high school. I wanted to do a sort of part time school arrangement. He informed me that I would have to go every single day like normal school. I was still unsure so I thought long and hard about this decision. I had to decide what I wanted, a lot of my friends from public schooling were encouraging me to return to public school. I follow them on Instagram and I see that a lot of them have changed from when I last saw them. I wouldn't be returning to the same friends I graduated 8th grade with, they are now more mature, living different lifestyles, and making new friends. I realized that this decision had to be all about me. I am so glad I decided to stick with my homeschooling!

Thanks for reading this! I will be back tomorrow to write another post!
