Ok everyone, this is my first post. Right now nobody is waiting for me to post something, but hopefully soon there will be. This is a blog for the homeschooling teen. I have been doing some research and I can't seem to find a blog written BY the teen. And when I do it is filled with scriptures. This is non denominational blog. I have and belong to a religion but I'm not hear to discuss it. I am just a teen writing about my homeschooling experience. There are dozens of blogs for the homeschooling parent nd FOR the teen but none BY the teen. Feel free to post comments and discussion topics. This is my first blog ever so bear with me I am not a professional.
Just to tell you a little bit about me my name is Serena. I am 14 years old and homeschooling with Penn Foster. I am a newbie and have only been homeschooling for about a month. However the stress is already getting to me. I spend my days in front of a laptop listening to Pandora supposed to be working. Alright well I'm going to hit the PUBLISH POST button and hope for the best.
Sincerely, Serena
Hi Serena,
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is homeschooled and is also 14. She writes a blog, but it is a fan fiction blog (anime). I use it as part of her homeschooling.
You mentioned you are stressed. Is that because you are lonely homeschooling? Have you tried joining local homeschooling co-op groups or local homeschooling support groups? They usually offer field trips, parties, sports, and more.
Keep your chin up, you can do it!
Joyfully,
Jackie

Hi Serena. I'm also a home-schooled teen, and have a blog. Homeschooling can actually be pretty great, and open up opportunities for life experiences that wouldn't be possible with public-schooling. There are lots of things for teen home-schoolers like us to do that help us meet new people and learn new things.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it'll get better!

Hi serena, my name Andrea and I attend a different type of homeschool. The way my school works is kids k-12 go to someone house and from there they are taught. We wear uniforms ,eat lunch and go on fieldtrips it's just like public school without some small aspects. There are also cheerleading, football and vollyball teams for home schoolers to join. I didn't like homeschool when i first tried it now i love it. I have been a homeschool since the sixth gradeand now in 11th grade.
